Volkswagen Passat 2015: Lighter, more efficient and packed with technology

Volkswagen, the German automobile manufacturer teases a new car with lighter, more efficient and packed with technology, the new Passat.

The new car weighs lighter than its predecessor because of it's lightweight material and it will be sure to less fuel consumption up to 20 percent. The 12.3-inch configurable display in the Passat is the company's new digital dashboard. It also has a  Park Assist and a 360° camera view option.

The 2015 Passat will be have a four-cylinder, 2-liter twin-turbo diesel engine with 240PS and 500Nm of torque on tap, mated to a new seven-speed paddle change gearbox and 4Motion all-wheel drive system.

The company will be releasing more details in July, before its in-the-flesh reveal in the French capital this autumn.
